Router setup

1 (Optional)

If you have a pre-set WiFi router setup and you wish to change it then press the M button for 2 seconds. This will remove the pre-set and reboot the device into Access point mode. Now goto step 2.

2Configure WiFi

If you have not yet configured a WiFi pre-set Press the M button for 2 seconds. This mode will create a Wifi network called "ScopeBits_connect" and assign an IP address 192.168.4.1.

You will now see this screen.

4Connect your device


 

Connect your mobile device to the WiFi "ScopeBits_connect". Some devices will automatically display the config screen.

5Goto the portal


 

Open your device's web browser, enter 192.168.4.1 into the address bar (if your device did not automatically display the page). You will see the following screen. To continue select Configure WiFi

6Configure your WiFi


 

Select the Wifi you want to connect to, or enter it into the SSID field. Enter the password for this WiFi and click Save. If successful CONNECTSTAR will now reboot and show your selected Wifi on the screen. Now you can connect your apps to your network. For example Sky Safari will still need the IP address and port number in the settings. CONNECTSTAR will show you these on it's screen.

If your set Wifi station is no longer available, CONNECTSTAR will try to connect to it regardless. While CLICKSTAR is trying to connect it will appear to be unresponsive (No button activity). This will eventually timeout but if you wish you can easily clear the old settings buy holding the M button and powering the CONNECTSTAR This will erase the Wifi settings and put the unit into AP mode, where you can then easily press M to use another mode or setup a new WiFi connection.
